We were very much shocked and grieved to hear of the death of Miss Mary Phillips who died in Kansas City Saturday, February 23, of peritoninitis [sic]. The remains were laid to rest in Linwood cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their sad affliction.
