"The first Quarterly Conference for the Shawnee Reserve Mission, Shawnee Mission and Shawnee M.L.S. for the current year was held at the Shawnee Church Jan. 20th, 58.

These minutes also presented the state of all schools and their holdings. Three schools were mentioned: Shawnee Manual Labor School, Monticello School, and a school in Shawnee.
