About

Old Shawnee Town is a recreation of life in the Prairie. The park is located in the heart of what was once Gum Springs, later renamed Shawnee, Kansas. Old Shawnee Town is comprised of buildings both authentic and recreations, including a church with a little cemetery. According to the City of Shawnee, there are no actual graves here. The stones here were stolen from an unknown location, recovered by the Sheriff and eventually placed here.
